Most contacts start with a call to the local office. Our receptionist will connect you with an intake counselor who will help determine the degree of urgency for your situation, and whether the agency’s counseling services can help.
If it is determined that some other service will be more helpful, the intake counselor will attempt to provide you with referral information for that service.
If counseling services can be helpful, we will do our best to schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient to you as quickly as possible so that we can thoroughly explore your concerns. With your permission, we may ask to involve other family members or others close to you to support your treatment goals. Each case is assessed on an individual basis. Sometimes individual therapy is the best approach. But therapy involving relationship networks, such as families or couples, often results in better outcomes.
